About us
The owner and founder of Byte Audioworks, Freek van Kempen, began producing music at an early age.
Starting out with trance and techno, he slowly made his way towards the Harder Styles. This followed by his first official release in 2007. From that moment on, he began mastering his own music. Slowly but surely he received more mastering jobs through the label Dirty Workz and by working on tracks for a wide variety of upcoming producers, he rapidly grew his clientele base and portfolio.
In 2011 he was approached to assist in the audio production for Reverze – Belgium’s biggest indoor Hardstyle event, which is held in Antwerp and gathers 20.000 people each year. The following years he was responsible for the entire audio production of this event: from trailers to live introductions and themed compositions.
Due to this large influx of work on such a large scale, it was time to establish Byte Audioworks as a platform – worthy and capable of this undertaking. With the assistance of various trusted freelancers, it was possible to expand the services of Byte Audioworks and expand their capabilities to a new level.
The following years Byte Audioworks started taking on more and more projects for various event organizations like The Qontinent, Sunrise Festival, Sunset Festival and many more. Besides that, their client base for mixdowns and mastering kept growing. Today the day Byte Audioworks is proud to work with some of the most respected artists, such as Showtek, Coone, Da Tweekaz, Sound Rush and labels such as Dirty Workz, Spinnin’ Records, Ultra, Armada, Musical Freedom, Scantraxx Recordz and SKINK Records.
Right now, Byte Audioworks consists of Freek van Kempen as producer and mix & mastering engineer, and various freelance producers. Together they provide a wide variety in services; from engineering work such as mixdowns, mastering, sound design & vocal processing, to full productions and composing.
