Freek van Kempen, owner and founder of Byte Audioworks, has been active in the music industry for nearly two decades. What started with experimenting in trance and techno soon evolved into a lifelong dedication to music production. His first official release came in 2007, and from that moment on Freek not only focused on creating his own tracks but also on perfecting their sound. This quickly built his reputation as a reliable engineer, attracting mastering work for Dirty Workz and a wide variety of producers.

In 2011, Freek was invited to take on the full audio production for Reverze, Belgium’s biggest indoor Hardstyle event, held annually in the Antwerp Sportpaleis for over 20,000 visitors. From cinematic trailers to live show intros and anthemic compositions, he became responsible for shaping the complete audio identity of the event. This milestone marked the start of a wave of high-profile projects and laid the foundation for Byte Audioworks to grow into a professional platform, expanding its services with a trusted network of freelancers.

Today, Byte Audioworks proudly collaborates with some of the most respected artists in the industry, including Showtek, W&W, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiësto, Timmy Trumpet, Coone, Sub Zero Project, Rebelion, Da Tweekaz and Sound Rush. The studio has worked with leading labels such as Dirty Workz, Spinnin’, Tomorrowland, Verknipt, Ultra, Armada, ROQ ’N Rolla, Musical Freedom, Cloud 9, Scantraxx, Skink, Be Yourself and Sinphony. Over the years, this has resulted in contributions to hundreds of releases, more than a thousand mastering assignments, and co-writing credits on some of the biggest anthems in the Hardstyle scene.

Freek is widely recognized for his reliability and professionalism, trusted by top artists, managers and labels to deliver on time, at the highest quality, and to consistently get the job done.

Currently, Byte Audioworks operates as a flexible team: Freek as head producer and mix/mastering engineer, supported by a select group of freelance specialists. Their services cover the full spectrum, from mixdowns, mastering, sound design and vocal processing, to full productions and bespoke compositions. Freek also provides coaching for a select group of producers.
